Acupuncture has been used for more than 4000 years throughout the world but primarily in China and Korea. Today, it is presently used world wide. We are pleased to have Dr. Kirsten Love on our team as she has credentials to use alternative Eastern Medicine to treat her patients.
In veterinary medicine as in human medicine, acupuncture and herbology are used to treat all aspects of medical problems. Skin conditions, digestive problems, seizures, bladder and kidney conditions, and even behavioral problems can respond very well to acupuncture and Chinese herb therapy. We also see many cases of patients with severe arthritis. Acupuncture works very well for arthritic pain relief and reduces the swelling that often goes with the condition.
Dr. Love treats many dogs and cats with disc problems in their backs and necks. In addition, she sees many large breed dogs with degenerative myelopathy, which is a loss of feeling and control in the rear end and legs. Over time, it has been proven that veterinary acupuncture or herbology has restored function in animals with nerve and joint problems as well as provided great pain relief for many different diseases that an animal could have.
If you are interested in having your pet examined and evaluated for a possible treatment with these modalities, please call the office for a consult appointment with Dr. Love. She can make both an Eastern and Western diagnosis before giving you an opinion and treating your pet with acupuncture or herbology.
Thank you for being there for my little girl this past week. Had the chance to work will all 3 doctors throughout this week (and many techs/front desk girls) and even though I felt like a crazy dog mom calling every 5 minutes to check on her, this team took the time to be there for me and my little girl. Can't tell you how much you made these past couple days less stressful. Glad to have her home, and glad your team was on her side! Thank you, you'll never know what you gave me back.
